I can’t remember ever actually winning a contest in my life, so I was excited to see an email in my Inbox from XRT yesterday announcing that I had won tickets to see Jet live at Studio X courtesy of 93.1. I’ve been signed up for XRT’s VIP program for almost a year now and enter a lot of the contests (it involves typing in a phone number), but never won a thing.
Beth burst my bubble a bit by mentioning I probably only won since my birthday was coming up, but oh well, I’ll take it anyways. I do remember them asking for my birthday when I signed up so it wouldn’t be too far fetched to think they hook people up around their birthdays.
We were already going to the show later that night at the Vic so this should make the day even better. I get out of work early now, get to see a private show with Jet, and then head over to the full band show. I’m curious how big this private show is going to be and if it will be acoustic or full band or if we might even get to meet the band.
